The Microsoft Azure Integration contains three Switch apps for working with Azure Blob Storage: one to send files, one to download them, and one to delete them. Use them to archive jobs, offload large files from your Switch server, or move data between Switch and Azure.

  • Microsoft Azure Send — Sends a job to a blob container. Single files are sent as-is; folders are sent hierarchically, keeping their structure. An optional "Zip before uploading" setting compresses the job first. When used mid-flow, the original job continues to the output with the blob URL attached as private data (named "Microsoft Azure Send" by default).
  • Microsoft Azure Get — Downloads a blob into your flow. You provide the blob URL, typically the value stored earlier by the send app, e.g. [Microsoft Azure Send]. You can optionally delete the blob after a successful download, and choose whether the downloaded file replaces the incoming job or is attached to it as a dataset.
  • Microsoft Azure Delete — Deletes a blob from a container based on the blob URL you provide. Use it to remove a stored job once it is no longer needed.

The send app records the blob URL in private data, and the get and delete apps accept that URL through Switch variables, so a job sent in one flow can be downloaded or deleted in another.

All three apps use the same Azure Blob Storage connection string and let you select the container by name or from a list with "Select from Library". Each has one incoming and one optional outgoing connection, so it can sit mid-flow or act as an endpoint.
