What does Release it do?

The app searches designated checkpoints for a designated job so that it can be moved to the connection designated in the configuration of the app.

How does the app achieve this?

The app makes API calls via Web services in Switch to so that it can search the designated checkpoints for the job/s needing to be moved from the designated checkpoints.

This app is therefore dependent on there being an active Web services license on the Switch server that this app will be installed on.

Currently the jobs name is used as the match for finding jobs to be moved. This match can match a search string that matches the beginning of the job name, or is contained in the job name, or matched at the end of the job name.

What is the use case for this app?

• There could be ocassions where a revision is received for a job which could be on at a checkpoint or multiple checkpoints which would normally mean that someone would have to manually remove old instances from a checkpoint or checkpoints. This app will remove the old instances of the job from a checkpoint or checkpoints
• There could be instances where jobs need to move from a checkpoint where there does not need to be human interaction
